Panaji, Nov 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday proclaimed a vibrant “cultural renaissance” sweeping across India, highlighted by landmark projects such as the restoration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the expansive redevelopment of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and the extension of Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain.
These initiatives, he said, symbolise a powerful national spiritual revival.
Speaking at the 550th anniversary celebration of the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math in Canacona, South Goa, PM Modi emphasised that India is rejuvenating its ancient cultural heritage with renewed vigour.
In front of a large assembly of devotees and spiritual leaders, the Prime Minister described these cultural developments as evidence of India’s growing confidence and deepening connection to its identity.
“India is experiencing a remarkable cultural resurgence today,” PM Modi declared. “The restoration of Ram Mandir, the redevelopment of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and the expansion of Mahakal Mahalok reflect the awakening of our nation’s spiritual heritage with renewed strength.”
He stressed that this revival will inspire future generations to remain rooted in their cultural traditions while moving forward with confidence.
During the event, PM Modi unveiled a towering 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Ram and inaugurated several facilities, including a Ramayana Theme Park Garden, a museum, and a 3D theatre developed by the Math.
The Prime Minister linked the Math’s 550-year legacy with India’s present-day cultural efforts, noting that despite historical challenges, the Math has remained a beacon guiding people by blending spiritual practice with social service and tradition with public welfare.
Highlighting recent milestones, PM Modi recalled hoisting the Dharma Dhwaja atop the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya just days before unveiling the grand statue in Goa.
He also issued nine resolutions to the gathering, encouraging commitments toward building a Developed India, including water conservation, tree planting, cleanliness, embracing Swadeshi and the “Vocal for Local” movement, promoting national unity through ‘Desh Darshan,’ adopting natural farming, healthy living, yoga and sports, and aiding the poor.
Underlining unity as the key to progress, PM Modi praised the Math’s mission of bridging tradition and modernity as a vital inspiration for India’s future path.
