New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will leave to Israel for three-day visit from Nov 20-22 for discussions on strengnthening trade and investment ties, sectoral cooperation and progress on the India-Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA), an official statement said on Wednesday.
The Minister will be accompanied by a sixty-member business delegation from CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, and Startup India. Goyal will hold talks with Israeli top leadership in addition to Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat.
The talks will also be held on strengthening collaboration between businesses from both countries.
”Progress of the India-Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will also be reviewed,” the spokesman said.
The Minister will participate in the India-Israel Business Forum which includes representatives from leading business associations from both sides.
The discussions are aimed at expanding commercial partnerships, promoting investment, and identifying joint venture opportunities in priority sectors.
The fourth edition of the high-level CEO Forum will also be held during the meeting, with leading CEOs from both sides.
The Minister will also meet senior leaders of leading Israeli companies in sectors like agriculture, desalination, waste water treatment, cybersecurity, smart mobility and infrastructure.
He will visit leading institutions and innovation centers, providing insights into Israel’s cutting-edge technology ecosystem.
