After waiting for 3 years, metro trains will be seen running in Bhopal as well. However, currently the people of the capital are facing inconvenience due to the metro.
Many roads of Bhopal have been diverted due to metro work. Due to which drivers are facing a big problem. Because, there is no space for movement on many roads of the capital. Now, this year on 17 September, a procession will be taken out by Hindu Utsav Samiti from Bharat Talkies square. Whereas, till now it was taken out from Hamidia Road Nadra Bus Stand square. At the same time, processions of Ganeshotsav will also be taken out.
Routes have been changed for all these. Because, currently Bhopal Metro work is going on on the main road near Bharat Talkies bridge on Hamidia Road. Due to which the road is dug up. Here one side of the road has been closed. This procession will reach Rani Kamlapati Ghat. The district administration and police team have been deployed. All of them will inspect the procession route along with the committee and its members.
On the demand of the committee, the officials have issued instructions to remove potholes, encroachments, parking of old vehicles, hanging electric wires and look after other arrangements on this route.
Keeping in mind the work of the metro, this route has been diverted. Therefore, this time the Anant Chaturdashi procession will start from Bharat Talkies Square and reach Rani Kamlapati Ghat via Itwara, Mangalwara, Hanumanganj, Janakpuri, Sindhi Market, Somwara, Moti Masjid. One station Pul Bogda is the interchange station for both the lines. There is a rolling stock depot in Subhash Nagar, which connects both the lines. In the priority section of 6.226 km from Subhash Nagar to Ess of Orange Line, construction of Baya Hunt Chha station, rolling stock depot and track has been built in Subhash Nagar. Train trial is going on between Subhash Nagar and Rani Kamlapati Station.
Fast work going on for Orange Line
Under Bhopal Metro Rail Project, only 2 lines will be built at present. First Purple and Orange lines will be built. According to the rolling stock standard, its total length is 27.87 km and 30 stations. The Orange Line from Karond Square to AIIMS has 12.58 km elevated, 2.41 km underground section and 16 stations, 14 elevated and 2 underground, while the Purple Line from Bhadbhada Square to Ratnagiri Tiraha has 12.88 km elevated section and 14 stations.
Purple Line
The Purple Line will run from Karond Circle to AIIMS. Under this, passengers will cover a distance of 14.99 km. This line includes 16 stations namely Karond Circle, Krishi Upaj Mandi, DIG Bungalow, Sindhi Colony, Nadra Bus Stand, Bhopal Junction, Aishbagh Square, Bogda Bridge, Subhash Nagar Underpass, Kendriya Vidyalaya, DB City Mall, Sangam Cinema, Habibganj Station, Habibganj Naka, Alkapuri Bus Stand, AIIMS.
Girder launched for Bhopal Metro’s second bridge
Two girders were launched on Monday at DRM Tiraha for Bhopal Metro’s second steel bridge. This month, a 200 tonne and 48 metre long bridge will also be placed. After this, vehicles will pass from below and metro trains from above. The first steel bridge has been placed above the railway track. Metro will pass through 2 steel bridges between Habibganj Naka and DRM station near Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. Work has been going on for the last 8 months for this. On September 4, within 3 hours, a 65 meter long and 400 tonne bridge structure was placed on the pillar on the railway track. Now preparations have begun for the second bridge. The second is a composite steel bridge, two girders of which were launched on Monday.
