- Another effective step towards digitization of MP Transco: Tomar
Bhopal: MP Transco (Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company) has achieved another important milestone in the direction of digitization by furthering the inclusion of new technologies in its office processes. Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar informed that the payment of bills for the works of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company, which was earlier done after manual entry in the physical measurement book, will now be done only through digital MB. Its use has been made mandatory in various departments of MP Transco.
Minister Tomar informed that now the bills of vendors, contractors etc. are being paid through digital MB with 100 percent transparency in the offices of MP Transco in Madhya Pradesh. This has not only made the payment process easier but vendors, contractors etc. are also aware of the current status of their bills. Also, they are getting payment on time.
Developed in-house
Superintending Engineer of MP Transco, Mr. Ajay Pandey informed that this digital MB has been developed in-house by the IT and ERP cell of the company in coordination with the company’s financial department. Digital MB also provides the facility of paying part payment of vendors and contractors for the work done by them as per rules. The amount of payment is calculated by calculating the work done, material used and remaining work and material through the software.
What is Digital MB?
Digital MB is a digital measurement book. It is the most important record of the payment process in government offices in exchange for the work done by an external agency and the material supplied. It is called the original record of the actual measurement or counting of the work done.
