Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Jeetu Patwari has written to Chief Minister seeking clear answers on several serious issues ahead of the latter’s proposed visit to the Vijayraghavgarh Assembly constituency on March 14.
In his letter, Patwari said the constituency is represented by MLA Sanjay Pathak and that multiple allegations linked to the area have raised concerns among poor residents, tribal communities and farmers who deserve clarity from the government.
Patwari asked whether it was true that, according to an official reply in the Assembly, around Rs 443 crore remains pending for recovery from firms linked to Pathak’s family, and when the amount would be recovered. He also sought clarification regarding alleged benami holdings of about 1,143 acres of land reportedly purchased in the names of tribal families.
Further questions were raised over nearly 309 acres of land allegedly bought using investors’ funds and claims of illegal occupation of land meant for 311 families under Katni’s Improvement Trust Scheme No. 15.
Patwari urged the Chief Minister to provide transparent answers and ensure impartial action if the allegations prove correct.
