Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident in Jamli village, Rajgarh, under Pandhana constituency of Khandwa district, where a tractor-trolley carrying devotees for Durga idol immersion overturned into the Ardala dam, claiming the lives of 11 children.

Describing the incident as “heart-wrenching and unbearable,” Patwari visited Rajgarh today to meet the grieving families of the deceased. He offered condolences and comfort, noting that the loss of so many young lives was an irreparable tragedy. “The laughter and joy of these innocent children being snatched away forever is deeply painful. Our prayers and thoughts are with you in this dark hour. May God grant strength to the bereaved families to endure this unimaginable loss,” he said.

Patwari urged the state government to announce immediate relief for the victims’ families, provide free and proper medical treatment for the injured, and ensure strict safety protocols to prevent such accidents in the future.

He also pressed the district administration to extend every possible form of assistance to those affected. Assuring full solidarity, Patwari said the Congress party stands shoulder to shoulder with the victims’ families in their grief. He further emphasised that this tragedy should serve as a wake-up call for authorities to implement robust safety measures during religious and cultural events to avoid further loss of innocent lives.
