- Culture of Bhopal and Punjab seen in the Garba
Bhopal: The Shreeji Garba Mahotsav celebrated a spectacular cultural fusion on its third day, merging Gujarati tradition with Punjabi flair.
The evening was dedicated to the ‘Punjabi Patiala’ theme, drawing an increasing crowd. Women dazzling in vibrant Patiala suits, long braids, and traditional juttis performed the Garba, seamlessly blending the cultures of Bhopal and Punjab. Men joined the festive spectacle, matching the energy with their lively Dandiya rhythms.
Councillor Pappu Yadav inaugurated the night at 9 PM. The participants’ vibrant Punjabi wardrobe, combined with the grace of the Gujarati Garba, elevated the festival’s grandeur, making it a truly unforgettable celebration of cultural harmony.
I am currently in school and this is the first time I have come to play Garba like this. The atmosphere here is very good. The songs are playing quite well.

I really liked the lighting here. And there is such a big space here to play Garba that we can easily enjoy it with friends in small and big groups.

The most important thing is the selfie point. We first go to such places and take photos, and there are so many selfie points here. I am very happy, it feels good to come here.

I am currently studying in school, this place is close to my house, and the preparations here are very good. After enjoying the Garba, we can also eat our favorite things at the food stalls.

When I found out that such a good Garba event was being organized, where the security is so good that there is no problem in coming to play Garba even late at night, I chose to come here.
