Ozzy Osbourne’s cause of death revealed

London, (UNI) Heavy metal pioneer Ozzy Osbourne died of a heart attack, according to a death certificate reviewed today by The New York Times.

The Black Sabbath singer had been living with long-term health issues for years before he died on July 22 at age 76, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Per the Times, Osbourne’s certificate officially said that the icon died of cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction.

Osbourne died just weeks after he performed his Back to the Beginning Farewell show in his hometown of Birmingham, U.K.

That show featured a reunion of Black Sabbath and performances from fellow hard-rock legends like Metallica and Guns N’ Roses, raising about USD 190 million for charity.

Osbourne performed one last time that day from a large black throne, singing classics like “Crazy Train”, “Mama, I’m Coming Home” solo, and “War Pigs,” “Iron Man” and “Paranoid” with Black Sabbath.

His death was met with an outpouring of tributes from icons across music and entertainment, including Elton John, Metallica, Billy Idol and Judas Priest, among others.
