- 16 districts see rapid rollout
Bhopal – Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company (MPMKVVCL) is making swift progress in installing smart meters across Bhopal and 15 other districts. According to the company, 162,320 smart meters have already been installed in Bhopal district alone.
Across MPMKVVCL’s operational areas, encompassing 16 districts within the Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, and Chambal divisions, a total of 303,305 smart meters have been deployed. This extensive rollout is part of the central government’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme.
The electricity company states that installations are ongoing for consumers in various localities. These smart meters aim to modernize the power distribution system and enhance efficiency.
