Our players now aim at medals only: CM

  • Incentive amount of Rs 25.389 crore given to players in ceremony of honoring sports talents

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that only players showcase their talent in the best way. Players display talent in various fields. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the art of performing best even in difficulties can be learned from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Expressing happiness over the performance of the players at present, he said that our players are performing better under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Now our players also aim directly at the medal. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the ‘Sports Talent Honor and Incentive Ceremony’ at TT Nagar Stadium. In the ceremony, incentive amount of Rs 25.389 crore was given to 1 thousand 786 players. Kits were also distributed to the players.

Dr. Yadav said that the state government is standing with them at every step to encourage sports and players. Sports have also been included in the curriculum in the new education policy. The path of promotions of sports teachers has been opened. In higher education, sports teachers can get promotions to Assistant Professor and beyond. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that incentives are being provided to the players directly in their accounts, so that they can prove helpful in their training.

Won Gold in wrestling

Dr. Yadav said that there has never been a lack of talent in the players of our country. Even when the players lacked resources, talented players like Major Dhyanchand have won gold medals for the country even by playing barefoot. Today when our country is emerging as an influential country under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Then the talent of our players is coming out more and we are winning medals by creating new records in various sports. This includes our indigenous sport wrestling, in which we have won 4 gold medals consecutively.

CM Dr. Yadav, while encouraging the players, took selfie with the players sitting in the gallery. Wheel chair cricketer Mr. Shailendra Yadav also took selfie with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also got other photographs clicked with the players. Along with this, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Mr. Vishwas Sarang also got group photographs clicked.

Gold medal winners honored

Gold medal winners in state level competitions were honored in the program. These include Himanshu Kushwaha in weightlifting, Yuvraj Rao Dhadge in Mallakhamb, Dhruv Dubey in handball, Tilak Lot in softball, Ujjwal Kumar Prasad in judo, Anvi Khanduri in swimming, Shruti Pal in handball, Rahi Pathak in Taekwondo, Shreya Yadav in Judo and Khyati Pandey in Pencak Silat.
