Bhopal: The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) conducted an orientation programme titled “Understanding Equality, Equity & Inclusion” on Monday in the BSSS Auditorium through its Equal Opportunity Cell.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Priya Sonpar, a renowned psychologist, who highlighted the need to distinguish between equality and equity and emphasized the importance of inclusive practices in building a fair and balanced society.
She encouraged the students to cultivate happiness in their lives, work hard with determination towards their careers, and express their emotions openly and healthily as a way to build stronger relationships and communities.
The session left the audience inspired, providing practical insights on how the principles of equity and inclusion can be practiced in academic and professional spaces. The programme was organized under the leadership of Prof. Swapna Pillai and the Equal Opportunity Team.
