Opposition Questioned for ‘Legitimising’ a Pre-Engineered Election

Bhopal: Congress media in-charge and former minister Mukesh Nayak, while speaking to journalists, said that the Bihar election results were “unexpected” and “full of confusion”. He added that the party would undertake a detailed assessment of the outcome. “We were aware of the results long before the elections,” he claimed.

Congress spokesperson Vikram Choudhary sharply criticised the Opposition for participating in what he described as a “structurally pre-engineered election”, arguing that their involvement had effectively granted constitutional legitimacy to a process whose outcome, he alleged, was predetermined.

Senior Congress leader and spokesperson Ravi Saxsena alleged that the Election Commission of India (ECI) had instituted systemic arrangements to ensure a favourable outcome for the NDA.
He questioned discrepancies in ECI data: “The Election Commission itself released figures stating there are 7.42 crore voters in Bihar. How, then, can 7.45 crore people vote? How did three lakh voters suddenly appear?”

He further pointed out that EC data showed 100 per cent voting in some records. “How is that possible?” he asked.

Congress spokesperson Vivek Tripathi said the time had come to review the current electoral process. “We will prepare ourselves for future elections,” he added.

Congress spokesperson Abhinav Baroliya said party leader Rahul Gandhi had already exposed the BJP for alleged “vote theft”. “People of Bihar understand this. They are astonished by the results. Congress will review its performance and explain the reasons for our defeat,” he said.

Congress spokesperson Firoz Siddque stated that the party had fought the election well. “We will evaluate the Bihar election and then expose the BJP and the Election Commission,” he said.

Congress spokesperson Sheriyar Khan criticised alleged inducements offered to voters. “Distribution of sweets and attempts to lure voters in favour of the BJP were major factors in their victory. This is a murder of democracy,” he remarked.

He also questioned why, despite such electoral claims, people in large numbers continue to migrate out of Bihar.

Congress spokesperson Praveen Dholpure reiterated concerns about sudden increases in the voter count in Bihar. “Rahul Gandhi had already raised this issue earlier. The facts will soon come before the people of Bihar,” he said.
