New Delhi, July 26 (UNI) OpenAI, a US-based AI organization, plans to launch its next-gen large language model GPT-5 in early August. CEO Sam Altman hinted at the release as “coming soon,” pointing to the advanced features over its predecessor GPT-4.
Initially, GPT-5 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) was expected to come out in May, but simultaneous internal testing procedures extended the timeline of the release. Now, multiple sources are expecting a release in August.
The upcoming GPT-5 is expected to come with ‘o3’ reasoning capabilities to provide a more unified experience to users. ‘o3’ feature breaks down complex problems, which makes it ideal for advanced tasks of business automation, research, and decision-making.
Sam Altman (CEO, OpenAI) , speaking at the podcast ‘This Past Weekend’ of Theo Von, pointed out that he tried GPT-5 to solve technical problems. Sharing his experience, Sam stressed the model’s intuitive understanding and reasoning.
