Varanasi, Sep 1 (UNI) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday announced that one lakh youth will be recruited in Uttar Pradesh police in the next two years.
The CM said that not only this, 2 lakh youth will be linked to government jobs in the coming two years. “Today there is no discrimination against the youth in the state. Youth are being linked to government jobs in a fair and transparent manner,” he said.
He said, “In the last seven and a half years, we have given jobs to more than six and a half lakh youth. Just yesterday, we successfully completed the written examination of the biggest police recruitment process in the state, which will give more than 60,200 youth a chance to serve in the police force.”
Yogi attended the state working committee meeting and membership workshop of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Varanasi. During this, he called upon them to choose politics for the establishment of values and ideals in accordance with the principles.
He said that politics should not be a means of attaining power or self-interest but should be a means of promoting the values of state interest and national interest. In the meeting of the working committee of BJYM and the membership workshop, while giving the mantra of meaningful politics to the youth, he drew attention towards the teachings of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The CM said, “We should not get trapped in temptation and no matter what happens, we should not compromise with our values.”
Regarding the changing perception of UP, he said, “When we worked to provide employment to the youth, today the result is in front of everyone. Today the youth in the state are getting jobs in their districts and villages, every big investor of the country wants to invest in UP and today the state has become the second largest economy in the country.”
Yogi said, “All this has happened due to the focus on youth power. We are going to make the state the number one economy of the country in the next 3 to 4 years.”
During the programme, the CM said that today everyone is participating in the workshop by gathering on this holy land of Baba Vishwanath. “Youth from different districts of the state are participating here. Your enthusiasm becomes the carrier of new energy. This energy becomes the reason for bringing the Prime Minister’s mission of good governance to the ground,” he said.
He said, “This is the age where there is energy as well as talent. In public life, we do not use politics as a means to attain power but we are working to establish values and ideals. We all work without deviating from our purpose and we do not work to take credit. We know very well that we are just a medium. You must be feeling the difference between the UP of 60 years ago and the UP of today.”
Yogi said, “Our youth were facing the crisis of identity, there was anarchy. There was no respect for daughters and traders, discrimination was at its peak. There was migration from the state, farmers were committing suicide. When Prime Minister Modi got the mandate to overcome those situations, its positive results came to the fore. He stressed that in these seven and a half years you have seen a changing Uttar Pradesh. Where both daughters and businessmen are safe and feel respected. We are giving insurance cover to businessmen.”
He said that this is a very strange situation. “The great men whose values were ridiculed till yesterday, today they are seen performing aarti for votes. Remember, these are the same people who do not hesitate to support those who spew venom against the country. Who does not know the faces of Samajwadi Party (SP).
The CM said, “Congress which ruled the country for the longest time and also opposed Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. It was as if they had a monopoly on Bharat Ratna. But, people recognise their reality.”
He said that the role of Yuva Morcha increases in such a situation and it will have to play a role in paving the way for state interest and national interest while protecting the interest of the society. “India’s maximum youth resides in UP. The state has unlimited potential and we have to work to take this potential forward,” he said.
