- There will be inconvenience due to construction work
- PWD working at a slow pace
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
Road construction is going on at many places in Bhopal. Out of this, the construction work of Kolar Six lane, which is being built at a cost of about Rs 305 crore, is in its final stage these days.
After its completion, the work of widening Kolar Tiraha will be started. Under which encroachment will be removed from three sides. For which the boundary wall of Vishwashvaraya Bhawan and Forest Guest House will be broken and shifted further. Also, the encroachments and slums on all three sides have been removed. After this widening, the roads on both sides going from Kolar Tiraha to Char Imli, Bittan Market and MANIT will be made 6 lanes up to a distance of 30-30 meters. At present, these roads are 4 lanes. The biggest benefit of widening this Tiraha will be that Kolar Tiraha will become 6 lanes. Let us tell you, after doubling the width here, the intersection which is currently 4000 square feet will become 8000.
Due to which there will never be a problem of traffic jams on the road going towards MANIT and the road going from Bittan Market to Kolar Lane. This will also reduce road accidents. However, this work is still incomplete. Recently, MLA Rameshwar Sharma inspected the Kolar Six Lane along with Collector Bhopal, Koshalendra Vikram Singh, ENC Ward Shirish Mishra DFO Bhopal, Alok Pathak and Public Works Department (PWD) officials. During this time, the construction of Kolar Six Lane is now in the final stages, the widening work at Kolar Tiraha will be done very fast. The remaining work at the main intersections is also being completed as soon as possible. At present, Bhopal residents are facing inconvenience due to the Public Works Department (PWD) completing this work at a slow pace. This work was to be completed by July 2024, but now September has also passed and this work has not been completed yet. Whereas last month the news came that this work would be completed by the month of September.
This work causes a lot of trouble. Due to which a lot of time is wasted. Therefore, for the last several months, we do not go through this route unless it is necessary. We have to travel through the JK Hospital route.
