Bhopal: The weather across Madhya Pradesh has taken an unexpected turn this October, with the Meteorological Department issuing an alert for potential rainfall in several regions. Over the next 24 hours, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in Jhabua, Jabalpur, and Dindori districts.
Scattered Showers Expected
Light showers are also forecast for numerous other districts, including Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Betul, Narmadapuram, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Raisen, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, and Seoni. On Tuesday, areas around Bhopal saw cloudy skies during the day. Despite the cloudy spells, major cities will continue to experience strong sunshine, leading to uncomfortable daytime heat.
Cyclone Brings the Change
The unseasonal weather is attributed to a cyclonic circulation that has become active in the southeast Bay of Bengal. The mixed weather pattern is expected to persist through October. Forecasters predict a noticeable drop in temperature and the onset of the winter season beginning in November, with intense cold possibly starting by the second week of the month. Residents are advised to adjust their diet to ward off seasonal illnesses.
