New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) The National Security Guard (NSG), India’s elite counter-terrorism force, will celebrate its 41st Raising Day tomorrow at the NSG Garrison in Manesar, Haryana.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the event as the chief guest.
As part of the commemorative events, the Home Minister will lay a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial to honour the bravehearts who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
He will also plant a sapling at the Composite Hospital Park within the NSG campus.
The celebrations will feature a composite operational demonstration, showcasing the NSG’s capabilities as the nation’s premier federal contingency force. The display will include counter-terrorism and protection drills, combat free-fall operations, bomb disposal techniques, a K9 demonstration, helicopter slithering, a mixed martial arts performance and a comprehensive exhibition of weapons and equipment.
This event aims to underline NSG’s high state of operational readiness, inter-agency coordination, and its unwavering commitment to protecting the nation from terrorist threats.
On the occasion, the Home Minister will also release the latest edition of the NSG magazine titled “Duty to Share.”
Additionally, a virtual foundation-laying ceremony featuring a 3D visualisation of the upcoming Special Operations Training Centre (SOTC) will be conducted at the NSG campus.
