New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with Brazil’s Special Advisor to the President, Ambassador Celso Luis Nunes Amorim, here today for the 6th India-Brazil Strategic Dialogue.
Ambassador Amorim was accompanied by a delegation of senior Brazilian government officials and advisors. The dialogue was an opportunity to follow up on the issues identified under the five pillars of cooperation during the State Visit of Prime Minister Modi to Brazil in July 2025, a statement said.
NSA Doval and Ambassador Amorim reviewed ongoing progress in the Strategic Partnership, including in diverse areas such as defence and security; energy, rare earths and critical minerals; and health & pharmaceuticals.
They also discussed cooperation in multilateral fora such as the BRICS, IBSA and the forthcoming COP-30 to be hosted by Brazil in November. Both sides agreed to carry forward the work to implement the vision laid down by Prime Minister Modi and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the statement added.
The Brazilian top official later met with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, during which they discussed opportunities for deepening the bilateral cooperation.
The EAM said in a post on X:

“Had a useful exchange on the current global scenario and on opportunities for deepening our strategic cooperation.”
