The management and operation of MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation and its associated milk federations will be given to the National Dairy Development Board for the next five years.
For this, necessary approval will be obtained and legal action will be taken. The brand of the MP Milk Federation is Sanchi, while the brand of the National Dairy Development Board is Amul. In this way, now the sale and marketing of Sanchi products will be done under the umbrella of Amul.
Consensus has been reached between MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation and National Dairy Development Board Anand Gujarat in this matter. This consensus was reached in the ministry on Tuesday, when Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the dairy development scheme in MP, increasing milk production and the works of Sanchi Milk Federation.
During this, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Secretary of Government of India Alka Upadhyay, Chairman and Managing Director of National Dairy Development Board Anand Gujarat Meenesh Shah were also present. In the meeting, milk production and aggregation in Madhya Pradesh and the action plan regarding Sanchi Milk Union were discussed in detail.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the target is to double the milk production of the state in the next five years. For this, work will be done towards strengthening the cooperative movement and benefiting the farmers and animal husbandry. Efforts will be made to increase milk production in about forty thousand villages of the state.
At present, the condition of milk production in 10 to 15 thousand villages is satisfactory. Efforts will be made to increase milk production in the remaining villages through various measures. A presentation was given by the National Dairy Development Board. Efforts to obtain kitchen fuel and organic manure from cow dung were also discussed in the meeting. An initiative has been taken in this field in Agar-Malwa. At present, a biogas facility is being provided by setting up 233 plants in the state. Farmers and cattle keepers who keep at least two or three animals will be given assistance in setting up this small plant by educating them on the use of cow dung. For this, farmers have to spend about 10 thousand rupees.
During this, the Chief Minister said that there has been a consensus on giving the responsibility to the National Board to increase the income of farmers and cattle keepers by making the state a leader in milk production. If needed, necessary amendments will also be made in the Cooperative Act for this purpose. The Chief Minister has said that Madhya Pradesh is at the third place in the country by producing 9 to 10 percent of the total milk production of the country. Efforts will be made to make the state a leader in the country by providing facilities for animal husbandry and milk production to the farmer brothers in many villages of the state.
