Notorious fugitive ‘Chikna’ with sword captured by Teela Jamalpura Police

Bhopal – In a significant breakthrough, Bhopal’s Teela Jamalpura Police have apprehended Mohammad Faizan alias Chikna (40), a notorious criminal with a Rs 2,000 bounty on his head, who had been evading capture for 18 months from Raisen Kotwali.

Acting on a tip-off, Teela Police received intelligence that Faizan was brazenly brandishing a sword in the Tila police station area. This dangerous individual is linked to 23 criminal cases across Bhopal and Raisen, including serious charges of murder, assault, theft, extortion, and illegal weapons possession.

Teela Jamalpura Police Station In-charge D.P. Singh promptly dispatched a team. On July 13, 2025, officers swiftly moved in, cordoning off the area around Salman Baba Wali Gali, where Faizan was seen. The team successfully apprehended the armed fugitive.

Faizan was presented in court and has since been sent to jail. The arrest was made possible by the crucial efforts of Sub-Inspector Sabir Khan, Badri Prasad Vishwakarma, Jagat Singh, Head Constable Naresh, Head Constable Nepal Singh, and other dedicated officers. Their quick response brought an end to this dangerous individual’s time on the run.
