Bhopal: In a shocking incident on Wednesday night, Ajay alias Chandu Kushwaha, a 23-year-old known criminal from Lalita Nagar, Kolar, was brutally stabbed to death with a screwdriver-like object. The attack occurred around 10 PM, following a severe beating where he was assaulted with a belt by his attackers.
Ajay’s family has accused three youths, identified as Vicky alias Donald, Bushran, and Bittu, of orchestrating the murder due to a long-standing dispute. Witnesses reported seeing Ajay’s body in the bushes around 11:30 PM, prompting the police to initiate an investigation. The Shahpura police have registered a case and are currently interrogating two suspects, although no substantial information about the accused has been obtained yet.
Ajay had a criminal history, with over a dozen serious charges, including assault, extortion, and robbery, registered against him at local police stations. His father, Vinod Kushwaha, who owns a tea shop in Shahpura, is currently ill, and Ajay had been managing the shop in his absence.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on Thursday, revealing a mark on his neck consistent with a sharp object. The investigation continues as the police gather more evidence related to the case.
