Nonseasonal Rains Forecast for Madhya Pradesh Districts

Bhopal, October 17: Despite the official withdrawal of the monsoon, central Madhya Pradesh continues to experience wet weather. The Meteorological Department in Bhopal forecasts the possibility of light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning across several parts of the state this evening. The unseasonal moisture is attributed to an active weather pattern over the south-western parts of the region.

Moisture Keeps Temperatures Cool

Moderate showers are likely to affect the western parts of Indore, Dewas, and the surrounding areas. Meanwhile, regions like eastern Dewas, Dhar, Mandu, Khargone, and Maheshwar are expected to see light thunderstorms and lightning activity. Following a cloudy day in Bhopal, residents felt a distinct chill in the air, with fluctuating temperatures marking the continuous shift in weather.

Focus on South-Western Region

Light rainfall is specifically anticipated this evening in districts including Shajapur, Ujjain, Sehore, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Barwani, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, and Seoni. Over the past 24 hours, similar activity was recorded in Chhindwara, Sehore, Vidisha, Dewas, and other regions. Weather specialists predict that the influence of moisture will persist over the south-western parts of the state, maintaining conditions for light to moderate rain over the next two days.
