- Patients taking up to 10 days to recover
- Increased risk of viral and bacterial infections
- 16 percent more patients than last year
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
After the weather cleared across the state including the capital Bhopal, cold has made its presence felt. Due to the cold, the number of viral patients has increased by 20 percent.
If we look at the data of the Health Department, from November 15 to 30, about 460 viral patients were going to both the hospitals every day, but since November 1 till now, on an average, this number has reached 850 every day. This number is 16 percent more than last year. Patients are experiencing sore throat, severe cold, cold, fever, joint pain and a feeling like a thorn in the throat.
The risk of viral and bacterial infections has increased due to change in weather. According to experts, there are two reasons for this. First, the weather has changed rapidly and people were not prepared for it. Secondly, when people fell victim to the virus, they neither wore masks nor got timely treatment. In such a situation, it is taking up to ten days to cure the virus instead of two to three days. Doctors of JP and Hamidia say that usually seasonal fever increases by 7 to 10 percent, but this year it has reached 20 percent.
Be careful about these:
– Start wearing mask as soon as you get cold or cough
– Consult a doctor immediately if you have body ache or cold
– Take professional advice, Do not take medicines by yourself. Consult the appropriate doctor
– Keep distance from people
– Stay at home if you get infected
These days, the number of viral patients in the hospital has increased rapidly. The situation will remain like this for some days. People are not reaching out to doctors early in case of illness, due to which the number of patients has increased. However, some diseases will gradually be controlled.
