Night allowance will be given in BHEL

Employees working in the second shift in BHEL Bhopal factory were given late night snack allowance before the Corona period (Night Allowance), which was stopped during the Corona period. Which has been restarted by BHEL management from Saturday.

CITU Union’s Executive General Secretary Deepak Gupta said that the union was demanding night allowance for the second shift employees from BHEL management for a long time. The management had also issued a circular in this regard two months ago, which was seen as a contradiction among many employees. Therefore, CITU Union wrote a letter to BHEL management and got that circular withdrawn and demanded from the management that a meeting of all the union organizations be called and a circular for the new shift be issued unanimously. After this, all the officials under the leadership of Deepak Gupta, Executive General Secretary of Bectu CITU Union, again met with the General Manager Human Resources and submitted a letter demanding night allowance to the employees of the second shift. The management recently organized a meeting under the chairmanship of Executive Director Ramanathan, in which top officials of the management and representatives of JCM Union participated.

It was decided unanimously in the meeting that the second shift will end at 12.30 pm, this will increase production in the factory as well as provide financial benefits to the employees. CITU Union had earlier conducted a survey among the employees, in which many employees cast their votes. In the survey, 70% of the employees voted in favour of starting night allowance. BECTU CITU union had written a letter to the management to start the second shift with night allowance on the basis of majority. All the unions participated in the meeting including Nitin Konde, Shishupal Yadav from BMS, Hemant Singh, Lodhi from HMS, Ashish Soni, Vishal Vani from Aibu and Deepak Gupta, Lokendra Shekhawat from CITU. Agreeing to this, the agreement letter was signed. Deepak Gupta said that after many efforts, with the cooperation of all the unions, the employees have started getting financial benefits.
