Bhopal: Barely two months into her marriage, 23-year-old Bharti Kuchbandia’s life ended tragically in Bhopal’s Chhola area, leaving her family shattered and pointing fingers at her husband, Vishal. They allege relentless harassment drove the young bride to suicide.
Married on February 3rd, Bharti reportedly faced torment from the outset. Her brother, Rahul, recounted Vishal’s alleged affair, physical abuse, and outright rejection of living with his wife. Desperate interventions by the family proved futile.
The situation reached a breaking point on Tuesday, culminating in a bitter quarrel at Vishal’s home, after which Bharti was brought back to her family in Bhopal. That night, while alone, she succumbed to despair. A final, overheard phone argument with Vishal preceded the devastating act.
A niece’s horrifying discovery alerted the neighborhood. While no suicide note was found, police have launched an investigation, TI Suresh Chandra Nagar confirmed. This heartbreaking incident underscores the dark reality of alleged domestic abuse and its fatal consequences, leaving a young life extinguished and a family demanding justice in Bhopal.
