New Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital Building opens

  • A grand inauguration on Sant Hirdaram Sahib Ji’s anniversary

Bhopal: On the 119th birth anniversary of Paramahamsa Sant Hirdaram Sahib Ji, the newly constructed Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital building, located on Airport Road near Gandhinagar, Bhopal, was jointly inaugurated by public representatives, philanthropists, and Sant Siddh Bhauji.
Prominent dignitaries present included MP Alok Sharma, Sehore MLA Sudesh Rai, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Mayor Malti Rai, councilor Rajesh Hingorani, councilor Jagdish Yadav, and key contributors such as Dr. Surendra Upadhyaya (London), Colonel Madan Deshpande, and donors Kumar and Prem Kewalramani. Chairperson of the Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital Trust, Sant Siddh Bhauji, also graced the event. On this occasion, saplings were planted on the hospital campus by Sant Siddh Bhauji, Bhagwandas Sabnani, and Malti Rai.

= Public representatives acknowledge the impact

MLA Sudesh Rai praised the hospital’s positive impact on Sehore district residents and promised continuous support. He highlighted how the new building will expand access to eye care services for the region.

MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani recalled Santji’s broader contributions in areas such as women’s literacy, water supply, and naturopathy, emphasizing that the hospital is a continuation of his legacy of selfless service.

Mayor Malti Rai commended the hospital’s efforts and announced a sanctioned Rs 26 lakh for constructing an approach road, which will begin soon.

Chairperson Sant Siddh Bhauji reflected on Santji’s teachings, emphasizing that service and donations enrich both giver and receiver. Dr. Surendra Upadhyaya stressed the transformative power of eye donation and acknowledged Santji’s global influence.

Mumbai-based donor Kumar Kewalramani shared how the hospital began as a small clinic after the Bhopal Gas Tragedy and has now grown into a massive facility, symbolizing Santji’s vision and service spirit.

A Vision for the Future

Jeev Seva Sansthan Secretary Mahesh Dayaramani announced that the new hospital, staffed by 20 experienced doctors and equipped with cutting-edge technology, will serve around 20 million people across Bhopal and 12 surrounding districts. He attributed this success to generous donor support and Santji’s enduring influence.

Medical Director Dr. Prerna Upadhyaya delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the tireless efforts of the hospital team and expressing hope that the new facility would become a beacon of eye care excellence for the region.
