New monthly film screening series begins today

  • To commence with screening of film “Humans in the Loop”

Bhopal. A new monthly film screening series is being jointly launched by the National Centre for Human Settlements and Environment (NCHSE) and Cine’ Classic, aiming to use cinema as a platform for meaningful social dialogue. The series will showcase internationally acclaimed films addressing contemporary issues such as the environment, pollution, water and sanitation, urbanisation, displacement, human settlements, and consumer awareness. All screenings will be open to the public and free of cost.

The series will open on Saturday, 3 January, at 5:30 pm at the NCHSE Conference Hall with the screening of the significant Hindi feature film “Humans in the Loop.” The event will begin with a brief introduction to set the film’s context and background, followed by an interactive discussion with the audience after the screening.

The initiative seeks to encourage thoughtful engagement with pressing social concerns and to nurture the vision of a more sensitive, just, and sustainable society through the power of cinema.

Film lovers, students, researchers, social workers, and socially aware citizens are warmly invited to participate in this cinematic conversation—even if they have already seen the film.

Entry is completely free. For more information, please contact: 94065 28098 / 89896 49700.
