- Building skills with values: 2-day workshop concludes at NITTTR
Bhopal: The national workshop on “National Education Policy-2020: Innovation and Implementation in Polytechnic Education” concluded on Sunday at NITTTR Bhopal, jointly organized by NITTTR Bhopal and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Narendra Thapak emphasized that teacher training is vital for effective skill development, examination reforms, and curriculum implementation. Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, Joint Director of Bihar Technical Education, appreciated the curriculum developed by NITTTR for Bihar, noting that all related processes have been fully digitalized. Prof. Manish Bhargava spoke on the vital role of polytechnic institutions in advancing vocational training.
At the closing session, Dr. Atul Kothari highlighted that value education should be integrated into every subject rather than treated as a separate course. Prof. C.C. Tripathi, Director of NITTTR Bhopal, urged institutions to embrace new opportunities and challenges in skill and entrepreneurship development. Mohit Srivastava added that combining human values with technical skills is central to NEP’s vision. Over 250 educators and officials from across India participated.

Education connects every class and family: Dr Kothari
On the first day of the workshop, Dr. Atul Kothari emphasized that education unites every class and family, and the NEP 2020, rooted in nationalism, aims to foster holistic development of knowledge, skills, and character for a developed India. Prof. C.C. Tripathi elaborated on the curriculum designed by the institute for various states in line with NEP and urged collective participation in its implementation. Chief Guest Prof. S.D. Sapre highlighted the importance of promoting the Indian knowledge system and stressed that technical books should be written and translated in Hindi and regional languages to ensure wider accessibility.
