New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) The Congress on Friday termed the letter written by BJP National President JP Nadda to Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge as ‘full of falsehoods and is a 4D exercise – denial, distortion, distraction, and defamation’.
In a social media post, party spokesperson Jairam Ramesh said, “Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge ji wrote to the President of India on Manipur. Apparently to counter that letter, the BJP President has now written to the Congress President. Naddaji’s letter is, not surprisingly, full of falsehoods and is a 4D exercise – denial, distortion, distraction, and defamation”.
He said, “The people of Manipur are yearning for normalcy, peace, and harmony to return to the state at the earliest”. Towards this end they are asking four simple questions”.
Ramesh said the people of Manipur were asking, “When will the PM visit the state? How much longer will the CM continue to be inflicted on the state, when a majority of MLAs are not in his support? and when will a full-time Governor for the state be appointed?”
It may be mentioned that Nadda in a letter to Kharge had accused him of trying to “sensationalise” the situation in Manipur by writting to President Droupadi Murmu.
Earlier, Kharge had written to President Murmu seeking her urgent intervention in the Manipur crisis.
