Los Angeles, Feb 22 (UNI) Global stardom may follow Chris Hemsworth wherever he goes, but at home, especially from his kids, the reception is far more subdued.
While attending the world premiere of “Crime 101” at United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 10, Hemsworth, 42, revealed to PEOPLE what his children think of his acting career.
“I reckon when they first realised I was Thor, they thought it was really cool. And then they realized they couldn’t fly and they thought it was less cool.”
“Now they’re just like, ‘ah, Dad, whatever,’ ” he said, adding, “Teenagers.”
Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, are raising three kids, namely, India Rose Hemsworth, aged 13 and twins Sasha Hemsworth and Tristan Hemsworth, aged 11.
The family lives in Byron Bay, a surf town just south of Australia’s Gold Coast, having moved from the United States in 2015.
Joining Hemsworth at the premiere was co-star Halle Berry, ahead of the film’s theatrical release by Amazon MGM Studios.
The synopsis reads, “Hemsworth stars as jewel thief Mike Davis in the thriller adapted from Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella, while Berry, 59, plays insurance broker Sharon Colvin. The pair collaborate on a heist as a relentless detective closes in on the operation.”
The cast also includes Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Nick Nolte.
“Crime 101” is in theaters now.
