Murmu interacts with artists at Mriganayani Emporium

  • Will visit Ujjain today, honor Safai Mitras

President Droupadi Murmu is on a two-day visit to Indore. The President reached Mriganayani Emporium directly from the airport, where she met the artists. The artist of Mriganayani gifted her a painting. During this, Murmu also bought two sarees. Governor Mangubhai Patel and CM Dr. Mohan welcomed the President at the airport.

Murmu will attend the convocation of Devi Ahilya University as the chief guest on Thursday, September 19. During this, she will award medals to the toppers of different courses and many PhD students will get a chance to take a group photo with her. The ceremony will start at 3.10 pm on Thursday and will end at 4.10 pm.

Apart from Murmu, who is the chief guest of the convocation, Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Savitri Thakur and DAVV Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Jain will be present on the stage.

Murmu will reach Ujjain from Indore early on 19th September. Here, she will interact with the Safai Mitras who contribute to the cleanliness of the country, at 10.10 am at Hotel Rudraksh located in Dhendia village and will visit the exhibition on Cleanliness Fortnight. Later, the President will participate as the chief guest in the Safai Mitra Sammelan and the Bhoomi Pujan program of the Ujjain-Indore six-lane road to be organized at Hotel Rudraksh Complex in Dhendia village. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will deliver the welcome address. President Murmu will also distribute certificates to the Safai Mitras.

Murmu to be welcomed at Nandigate

President Murmu will perform the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ujjain-Indore six-lane virtually. The President will be accorded a grand welcome at the Nandi gate of Mahakaleshwar Temple amidst Swasti Vachan and Shankh Vadan. Later the President will perform Jalabhishek after darshan and worship of Jyotirlinga Mahakaleshwar. Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee will welcome the President by presenting him with a shawl, shriphal, memento, and prasad at Nandi Hall. After darshan, the President will offer shramdaan in the temple premises under the Swacchata Hi Seva Pakhwada. This will be followed by a group photograph session with the President at Koti Tirtha.

President Murmu will visit Mahakal Lok and will interact with craftsmen engaged in idol-making at Triveni Sabha Mandapam. The President will then return to Indore from Ujjain.
