Bhopal: The Moksha Kalyanak of the 22nd Tirthankar Bhagwan Neminath was celebrated with great religious fervor at 1100 Quarters in Bhopal. The event took place in the revered presence of Muni Shri Praman Sagar Maharaj along with Muni Shri Sandhan Sagar, Adar Sagar, Samadar Sagar, Chidrup Sagar, Swaroop Sagar, and Subhag Sagar Maharaj. The ceremony was conducted by Ashok Bhaiya, and Munisandh spokesperson Avinash Jain Vidyavani provided insights into the proceedings.
The celebration began with Abhishek and Shantidhara of Bhagwan Neminath in the morning, followed by the symbolic offering of Nirvana Laddu in remembrance of Urjayant Mountain (Girnar Ji), where Lord Neminath is believed to have attained salvation. Devotees performed rituals using eight sacred substances while chanting Nirvana Kand.
Addressing the congregation, Muni Shri Praman Sagar emphasized the spiritual and cultural importance of Girnar’s Urjayantgiri, also known as Panchvi Tonk, a site revered for generations. He highlighted that despite challenges, thousands of devotees continue to visit these sacred places, often traveling great distances on foot.
He urged the Jain community to visit at least one new pilgrimage site every year with their families to ensure active movement and safety of the shrines. He stressed on creating an action plan involving coordination with local residents and updating land revenue records to safeguard Jain heritage.
