New Delhi (December 3 UNI): The national capital is under an extraordinary, multi-layered security cover ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s two-day visit to India, beginning December 4. The high-profile visit comes exactly 25 days after a terror attack in Delhi near the Red Fort that had sent shockwaves across the nation.

According to security sources, President Putin’s security is considered a major challenge. In light of this, a massive seven-layered security grid has been established. Teams from Russian intelligence and security agencies have already arrived in Delhi, and every aspect of his itinerary has been finalized with security considerations in mind.

The security deployment at the Russian President’s residence will consist of three key layers. The innermost security ring will be managed by Russian agencies, while the outer layers will be guarded by Delhi Police Special Commandos and other Indian security agencies. Delhi Police SWAT teams, Anti-Terror Squads, and Quick Reaction Teams (QRT) have been deployed at sensitive locations across the city.

Technology is being leveraged extensively. Drone monitoring, CCTV surveillance, and technical intelligence systems have been upgraded to ensure real-time situational awareness. Teams from the National Security Guard (NSG) and the Delhi Police Special Cell have also been specially deployed.

All concerned agencies have been issued strict directives to maintain continuous monitoring throughout the high-profile visit, ensuring there is no lapse in security arrangements.
