MoU Signed Between Madhya Pradesh and Fira Barcelona International

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh will have international level convention centre. An MoU was signed between Madhya Pradesh and Spain’s Fira Barcelona International at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to establish an international-standard convention centre in Madhya Pradesh. This centre will not only promote innovation and smart urban solutions but will also serve as a platform to host global events and investment conferences. Notably, discussions with the institution’s officials took place during Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s visit to Spain in July this year, during which he invited investors to Madhya Pradesh.

This event was attended by Spain’s Ambassador Juan Antonio March Pujol, Fira Barcelona International CEO Richard Zapatero, and the institution’s India representative Shri Mukesh Arora. Ambassador Pujol also held detailed discussions with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.

The MoU will strengthen cultural and commercial strategic cooperation between both parties and pave the way for world-class infrastructure development for international conventions, exhibitions, business dialogues, and investment conferences in Madhya Pradesh. This partnership will ensure active participation of global investors and stakeholders.

Madhya Pradesh aims to further strengthen its identity as a global hub. Especially in the fields of smart urban solutions, technology, and business exhibitions, the state will develop in accordance with leading international standards and opportunities.

This MoU is expected to open new horizons for industrial and investment activities and enhance Madhya Pradesh’s recognition at the international level. The state will gain a reputation as a host for global dialogues, conventions, and exhibitions. Through this centre, top industrialists, investors, and companies from around the world will come to Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh will become part of the global network and a focal point for international partnerships and opportunities.

MP Will Emerge with a Global Identity: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh’s central geographical location is significant for the future. It proves highly advantageous not only for promoting industry and trade but also from an overall economic perspective. The state is developing essential infrastructure to position itself as an alternative to the Delhi region in the coming years. He added that after the metropolitan areas of Indore and Bhopal, preparations are underway for the development of metropolitan areas in Jabalpur and Gwalior.

Referring to his visit to Barcelona, Spain, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the city has exemplary development planning. He emphasized that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has advocated development alongside heritage conservation, a message being adopted in Madhya Pradesh as well. Cities like Barcelona also show commitment to preserving ancient grandeur, which Madhya Pradesh is emulating through the Prime Minister’s model.

Spain’s Ambassador Juan Antonio March Pujol stated that with strong leadership, organization, and management capabilities, India and Spain will work together more effectively.
