Bhopal: The Narcotics Wing of Madhya Pradesh Police, Indore, organised a one-day online webinar here recently, focusing on the mandatory provisions of Section 50 of the NDPS Act. The training programme aimed to provide practical legal guidance to investigation officers from district police forces and specialised units.
Senior Government Pleader Abhijit Singh Rathore, Indore, served as the resource person and offered detailed insights into the compulsory requirements of Section 50, search procedures and the prevailing judicial interpretation of the law.
Nearly 1,600 police personnel, ranging from Assistant Sub-Inspectors to Inspectors from across the State, participated in the online session. The objective was to ensure strict and precise compliance with statutory provisions during investigation of NDPS cases, thereby strengthening cases on legal grounds and reducing procedural lapses.
