Bhopal: Demonstrating its sustained commitment to crime control and public safety, the Madhya Pradesh Police have swiftly solved three serious robbery cases reported from different districts of the State. In all cases, the accused were arrested and substantial amounts of looted property were recovered.
In Narsinghpur, police cracked within hours a daring robbery involving nearly Rs 1 crore at Hotel Kumum Valley in the early hours of February 3. Three to four masked men had entered the hotel and fled with a large cash amount. During investigation, CCTV footage, physical and technical evidence led police to suspect the hotel manager. On interrogation, he confessed to conspiring with accomplices, having prior knowledge of the cash kept at the hotel. Four accused were arrested and Rs 60 lakh in cash was recovered.
In Rajgarh district, police busted an interstate gang involved in a highway robbery under Kurawar police station limits. The gang had stopped a four-wheeler, assaulted the driver by throwing chilli powder, and forcibly withdrew Rs 1.26 lakh from his bank account. Three criminals from Rajasthan were arrested, and the entire robbed amount, along with mobile phones and a stolen motorcycle, was seized.
In Chhindwara, police solved the robbery of a jeweller returning from a weekly market in the Gangiwada area. Four accused, including a minor, were arrested, and silver ornaments weighing about 2.3 kg, worth nearly Rs 9 lakh, along with two motorcycles, were recovered.
These actions underscore the State police’s resolve to maintain law and order through swift, coordinated and technology-driven operations.
