Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Police have achieved significant success in curbing vehicle theft across the state, recovering 41 stolen motorcycles and three cars over the past seven days. The statewide operation reflects the force’s heightened vigilance, swift action and zero-tolerance approach towards crime.
In Morena district, the Ambah police arrested one accused on the basis of a tip-off and recovered five stolen motorcycles, with the total seized property valued at Rs 4.5 lakh. In Narsinghpur, police apprehended three habitual vehicle thieves and recovered 10 stolen motorcycles worth around Rs 6 lakh.
Chhindwara police registered major breakthroughs in two cases. Junnardeo police arrested a notorious vehicle thief and seized six stolen motorcycles valued at Rs 4.5 lakh. Meanwhile, Dehat police busted an inter-state vehicle theft gang, arresting five accused and recovering two cars — a Tata Tiago and a Creta — with assets worth Rs 11 lakh.
In Guna, Chanchoda police arrested two motorcycle thieves and recovered six stolen bikes. Rajgarh’s Biaora police dismantled an inter-state gang, arresting three accused, including the kingpin, and seized six motorcycles.
In Chhatarpur, police recovered six motorcycles worth Rs 4 lakh after arresting a gang member, while another accused was arrested in Rajnagar. In Bhopal, Habibganj police arrested a vehicle thief along with a stolen car, and in Sehore, Bhairunda police solved a theft case within 24 hours.
The police reiterated that public safety and protection of property remain top priorities and urged citizens to promptly report suspicious activities.
