Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Police have intensified their campaign against economic offences and organised criminal networks, achieving significant breakthroughs over the past two days across Indore, Guna, Shajapur and Bina districts. In a series of coordinated operations, the police busted inter-State fraud syndicates and solved robbery cases, seizing assets worth more than Rs 55.68 lakh.

In Indore, police arrested three members of a gold fraud gang involved in cheating a jeweller. Acting swiftly, officers recovered 280 grams of gold valued at around Rs 40 lakh from the accused.

In Guna, an inter-State gang that duped traders by passing off fake gold as genuine was exposed. Three accused were arrested and Rs 5.17 lakh was seized. The gang reportedly gained victims’ trust through small transactions before fleeing with large sums using fabricated excuses.

In Shajapur, police recovered cash, a vehicle and weapons worth Rs 6.76 lakh in a robbery case.

Meanwhile, the Government Railway Police in Bina arrested a woman accused of stealing jewellery from women passengers, recovering property worth Rs 3.75 lakh.
