Bhopal: On the birth anniversary of all-rounder artist Kishore Kumar, the Culture Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh organized a college band competition in the BSSS auditorium with the participation of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences. In the competition, the Saaj and Parinde Music Band Groups of the college’s Rhythm International Radio gave a wonderful performance by singing the songs of Kishore Kumar. The artists of both bands made the auditorium resonate by singing songs like Tum Aa Gaye Ho Noor Aa Gaya Hai, Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha, Ruk Jana Nahi Tu Kahin Haar Ke, Aajkal Tere Mere Pyar Ke Charche Har Zubaan Par and Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye. The college’s Principal Dr. Fr John PJ, Accountant Amit Yadav from the Culture Department, and many officials were present in the program.
Well-known musicians Umesh Tarkaswar, Rajesh Malviya, and Ashish Srivastava were present as judges in the band competition. Umesh Tarkaswar praised the artists in the end and then explained the nuances of music. Rajesh Malviya sang Kishore Kumar’s song and also encouraged the artists. Ashish Srivastava praised the young artists and wished them all the best. BSSS Public Relations Officer Dr. Manju Mehta expressed her gratitude to the Culture Department and all the artists.
