MP Congress launches grassroots revamp plan

  • One representative per assembly, appointments in 15 days

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress has initiated an ambitious strategy to strengthen its organizational structure ahead of upcoming elections. In a key meeting held at the party’s Bhopal headquarters, AICC state in-charge Harish Chaudhary directed that a Congress representative be appointed in each of the state’s 230 assembly constituencies within the next 15 days.

The meeting, attended by MPCC President Jitu Patwari and other senior leaders, also focused on executing the resolutions passed at the recent AICC convention held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Plans were laid out to revamp district leadership, reinforce media and social media teams, and train the newly appointed assembly-level representatives.

According to the new plan, the role of these representatives will be pivotal in organizing at the grassroots level. They may include former coordinators, senior party functionaries, and district presidents. Congress has also committed to providing training within the next two weeks to ensure all appointees are fully equipped for their responsibilities.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway for a provincial convention in Jabalpur this May, where strategies for the 2028 and 2029 elections will be finalized, marking a crucial step in the party’s long-term planning and regional mobilization.
