Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee convened a State-level meeting of its social media department, titled “Nav Sanchar 2026”, at the party’s State headquarters in Bhopal on Sunday. The gathering brought together social media office-bearers and district and Assembly-level workers from across the State to strengthen the organisation’s digital outreach and communication strategy.
The meeting was addressed by senior leaders including Harish Chaudhary, Jeetu Patwari, Umang Singhar, Supriya Shrinate, Kunal Choudhary and Ruchira Chaturvedi, among others. They emphasised the need for a coordinated and disciplined digital campaign to effectively communicate public issues and the Congress ideology.
Discussions centred on a three-month digital roadmap, strengthening district and Assembly-level units, content planning, rapid response mechanisms, and the use of videos and graphics to highlight public concerns. Leaders also underscored the importance of countering alleged misinformation with factual and creative communication.
Shrinate criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party’s online functioning, alleging that it relied on misleading narratives, and urged workers to respond assertively with fact-based campaigns. Chaudhary highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in political communication and encouraged ethical and strategic use of AI tools.
Patwari launched a sharp attack on the Centre, calling upon workers to amplify public grievances online, while Mr Singhar described social media as a powerful democratic platform to project grassroots realities. The meeting concluded with a pledge to run a cohesive and impactful digital campaign under “Nav Sanchar 2026”.
