MP Assembly adjourned sine die

Bhopal, Dec 21 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly was adjourned sine die on Thursday thus bringing down the curtain on the four-day inaugural session of the state’s 16th Vidhan Sabha.

Earlier, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav replied to the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the gubernatorial address.

“My dispensation stands committed vis-à-vis fulfilment of assurances enshrined in the ‘Sankalp Patra’ and there shall be no paucity of resources,” he averred and touched upon his government’s priorities.

Subsequently, the Motion was passed by voice vote.

During the initial two days of the session, Pro-tem Speaker Gopal Bhargava administered the oath to members. On Wednesday, Narendra Singh Tomar was unanimously elected as Speaker. Governor Mangubhai Patel addressed the House that very day.

Chhindwara legislator and erstwhile Chief Minister Kamal Nath remained absent during the entire session.
