Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
In this time of inflation, the most expensive commodity used in everyday life is electricity. Nowadays, to avoid expensive electricity bills, people have started installing solar panels in their homes.
Due to which electricity produced from the sun has started being used in homes. At present, there are three electricity companies in Madhya Pradesh. Through which a campaign for solar panels is being run. Under the campaign, 11040 solar plants have been installed in the state so far.
Out of these, the maximum solar plants have been installed by the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company. Among the cities where the maximum number of solar panels have been installed, the name of the capital Bhopal is at the top. Because, solar panels have been installed in 2600 houses here and electricity has started being produced from sunlight here. In the state, more than 40 megawatts of electricity has started being produced from the sun in just a few months. The government has set a target to increase solar energy in the state. With the increase in solar energy, the expenditure of power companies on power generation will be reduced. Currently, the state is dependent on coal for electricity, due to which electricity is expensive. Whereas solar energy will be cheaper. This will also increase thermal energy. The availability of thermal energy in the state is currently 4570 MW.
Whereas, by the year 2028-29, it will increase to 5890 MW. In comparison, the solar energy in the state is about 6 thousand MW. Which will become 12638 MW in the next five years. The number of people installing solar plants in the state is increasing rapidly.
Under this, the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company has added 1456 places in the districts included in its work area.
According to an estimate, 3345 MW of solar energy can be generated by installing solar plants at these places. The government also gives subsidies for installing them. Let us tell you, under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, a subsidy of 30 thousand rupees on a one kilowatt solar plant, 60 thousand rupees on a two kilowatt solar plant and 78 thousand rupees on a solar plant above three kilowatt is being given by the central government. This is also a big reason for the increase in the number of people installing solar plants.
