Bhopal: State Program Officer Vector Borne Disease Control Program Madhya Pradesh Dr. Himanshu Jaiswar reviewed the Embed Project operated under the Vector Borne Disease Control Program.
During this, Regional Coordinator Family Health India Dr. Santosh Bhargava, Program Coordinator Ratnesh Singh, Facilitator Krishna Patel and staff were present. Dr. Jaiswar directed that special campaigns should be run in all districts including Bhopal for dengue control. It is necessary to eliminate breeding sources by specially identifying the houses or other places where larvae are being found.
Necessary activities should be organized for dengue control in the state, especially a plan should be made to implement the volunteer model in all the affected districts. Awareness activities are very necessary during the infection period. The State Program Officer reviewed the activities conducted by the project and directed to prepare a framework for the coming month. During this, he gave necessary suggestions to make the activities of the project more effective. During the review of the Embed project, the State Program Officer emphasized on organizing the necessary activities for dengue control and implementing the volunteer model. This will help in reducing dengue cases in the state and people can be made aware.
