- Heavy rains likely in many areas; intermittent thundershowers lash Bhopal
Bhopal: Due to the continuous activity of monsoon, intermittent rains are continuing in most of the cities of the state. On the other hand, on Sunday, monsoon has entered all the districts of Indore, Jabalpur, Shahdol divisions as well as some parts of Bhopal and Sagar.
In Bhopal, heavy clouds covered the skies in the evening and intermittent light to moderate showers accompanied with gusty winds and lightning lashed the city till late night.
According to meteorologists, intermittent rain will continue in the entire state. There are chances of thundershowers especially in the districts of Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Indore and Ujjain divisions. During this time, heavy rains can also occur at some places in Indore and Ujjain.
Former senior scientist of Meteorological Center Ajay Shukla said that due to the effect of weather systems formed at different places, intermittent rainfall is occurring in most of the districts of Madhya Pradesh. Especially in Indore, Ujjain, there may be intermittent heavy rainfall on Sunday-Monday.
Rainfall in last 24 hours
On the other hand, during the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Sunday, there was rainfall at some places in most of the districts of the state. Among these, 54 mm rainfall was recorded in Jabalpur, 53.1 in Harda, 48.2 in Burhanpur, 47.2 in Seoni, 46 in Khargone, 45 in Dindori, 42.2 in Chhindwara, 42 mm in Barwani. Similarly, 41 mm rain was recorded in Alirajpur, 41 mm in Dewas, 40 mm in Shahdol, 37 mm in Rajgarh, 36.4 mm in Balaghat, 33 mm in Bhopal, 32 mm in Jhabua, 31 mm in Mandla, 30.5 mm in Narmadapuram, 29.4 mm in Dhar, 29 mm in Datia, 28.6 mm in Ujjain, 28 mm in Raisen, 27 mm in Guna, 21 mm in Vidisha, 20 mm in Bhind, 20 mm in Shivpuri, 19 mm in Sehore, 18 mm in Dewas, 17.3 mm in Singrauli, 17.2 mm in Jabalpur, 13 mm in Indore, 12 mm in Satna, 12 mm in Narsinghpur, 10 mm in Rewa, 8.2 mm in Anuppur, 8.2 mm in Panna and 8 mm in Sagar district.
