Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh is bracing for continued widespread rainfall as the monsoon intensifies across the state. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert, predicting significant precipitation across numerous districts tomorrow, Friday, August 1st. Residents are advised to prepare for heavy downpours accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.

Tomorrow, districts including Betul, Harda, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar, Mandsaur, Burhanpur, and Khandwa are likely to experience rainfall. The forecast also indicates a high probability of rain in Khargone, Sehore, Balaghat, Panna, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, and Mandla. Accompanying these rains will be winds gusting up to 40 km per hour.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for most districts, indicating the likelihood of moderate to heavy rainfall. Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Rajgarh, Morena, and Damoh are specifically warned to expect heavy downpours with thunder and lightning. Meteorologists anticipate that the current spell of rain will persist across the majority of the state.
According to the weather department, the monsoon trough currently extends from Sri Ganganagar, Rohtak, Banda, Sidhi, Ranchi, and Diamond Harbour at mean sea level, tilting southeastward towards the northeast Bay of Bengal. Additionally, an upper air cyclonic circulation is active over southwest Uttar Pradesh and adjacent areas, positioned at 5.8 km above mean sea level and tilting southwestward with increasing height, contributing to the persistent wet weather.
