Modi govt ruthlessly curbing terror, the biggest enemy of humankind: Shah

New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said terror is the biggest enemy of humankind, adding that everyone needs to put up a combined fight against this menace.

Taking to social media platform X, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is ruthlessly curbing terror in the country.

The Home Minister on Friday inaugurated the counter-terrorism conference organized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He said the occasion brings together strategies across multiple agencies to chalk out the effective plans to hit and bring an end to terror.

Shah also honoured nine personnel of the terror probing agency NIA, with the Sewa Padak and Veerta Padak for their service.

Notably, the home minister also unveiled updated Crime Manual, Organised Crime Network Database and Lost and Recovered Weapon Database of the NIA.

The database will provide central and state police with a shared digital platform which will have overall information on weapons.

The conference is focused on developing synergies between different stakeholders in the domain for enabling coordinated action against terrorism.

The conference also serves as platform where stakeholders like the operational forces and agencies involved in anti- terror operations can come together and share ideas and various issues to effectively counter the problem.

The two day conference will witness presence of senior officials from law enforcement agencies, central agencies and all the agencies involved in anti terror operations, and also the experts from areas such as forensics, technology, and others.
