MLA Sharma opens advanced chemotherapy care centre at SMH

Bhopal: Huzur MLA Rameshwar Sharma inaugurated the Advanced Chemotherapy Care Centre at Sagar Multispeciality Hospital (SMH) in Bhopal on Thursday. The newly launched state-of-the-art facility is dedicated exclusively to the treatment of cancer patients and is a significant addition to SMH’s advanced oncology services.

Designed to provide comprehensive care under one roof, the centre includes a smart nursing station equipped with modern technology, including HEPA filters and a bio-safety cabinet to prevent infections. The centre ensures a comfortable environment for patients, with 24×7 monitoring by SMH’s oncology team led by Dr. Srikant Tiwari, Senior Consultant – Medical Oncology, and Dr. Shubham Pandey, Consultant – Surgical Oncology.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, Founder & Chairman, Sagar Group; Sudhir Agrawal, Director; Dr. Aditya Agarwal, Director, SMH; Dr. Atul Adaniya, CEO, SMH; and cancer survivors, along with hospital staff and patients.

Addressing the gathering, Rameshwar Sharma said, “The new chemotherapy centre will bring quality cancer treatment closer to patients, reducing the need to travel outside Bhopal. I am impressed by the hospital’s commitment to not just patient care but also the comfort of their families.”

Dr. Tiwari termed the launch a milestone in cancer care, especially as cancer cases continue to rise. He reaffirmed the hospital’s mission, stating, “We Care, We Cure,” and emphasized SMH’s continued efforts to serve the people of Bhopal with advanced cancer treatment facilities.
