- MP Nagar police trace girl missing since May 2023
Bhopal, — The MP Nagar Police Station has achieved a significant success under the special “Muskan Campaign,” tracing and safely recovering a minor girl who had been missing since May 2023.
=Nine-month search concludes successfully
The case originated on May 22, 2023, when the 15-year-old girl, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, MP Nagar, went missing from her home. Her mother initially believed the girl had gone to a friend’s house but reported the matter when she did not return. A case was registered under Section 363 (Kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code against an unknown person.

Following specialized instructions from Police Headquarters for the recovery of missing children, a dedicated team was formed under the guidance of DCP Zone-2 and ACP Manish Bhardwaj. Station In-charge Jaihind Sharma led the team that successfully tracked down the juvenile, whose identity has been protected. The recovery brings a successful conclusion to the nine-month search. Police officials praised the team, including Sub Inspector Archana Tiwari and other constables, for their persistent efforts in the case.
