Bhopal: Koh-e-Fiza police have arrested a miscreant who escaped from Jayprakash Hospital after dodging the police. An illegal pistol and cartridges and a Passion bike were confiscated from him. A case has been registered against the accused under the Arms Act. According to the information, the miscreant Jayant Lodhi, son of Kaluram Lodhi (18), is a resident of village Jambar Bagri, police station City Kotwali district Vidisha.
Recently, the police had arrested him in the case of theft of 400 grams of silver. On January 9, the accused was taken to Jayprakash Hospital for medical examination. Here, he dodged the police personnel, removed the handcuffs and escaped.
In this case, a case of escaping from custody was registered in Habibganj police station. Since then, the police of Habibganj and Kohefija police station were searching for him. Accused found near Christian cemetery On Thursday evening, information was received from an informer that Jayant Lodhi, the accused who had escaped from police custody, was seen near the Christian cemetery on Bairagarh Road. After receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and saw that a young man was trying to escape from the police on a yellow coloured Passion motor cycle. The police team surrounded him and caught him. On interrogation, the young man told his name as Jayant Lodhi, resident of Vidisha.
When the police searched the accused, a country-made pistol and 2 live cartridges were found in the pocket of his jacket. Along with the pistol and cartridges, the police have also seized his Passion bike. He had stolen the said bike from near Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. During interrogation, it was found that apart from Bhopal, the accused has also committed incidents of theft and burglary in Sehore, Rajgarh and Raisen districts.

Couple crossing the road hit by Magic
An elderly couple crossing the road near the commissioner’s office was hit by a magic vehicle, due to which both were injured. The police have registered a case against the magic driver. According to the information, Kesar Bai Mogia (60) is a resident of village Amargarh, police station Suthaliya, district Rajgarh. On Wednesday afternoon at around 3 o’clock, she was crossing the road with her husband Ramcharan Mogia after coming out of the commissioner’s office. Then a speeding magic vehicle coming from Lalghati hit both of them. The elderly couple has suffered serious injuries in this accident.

Social media friend thrashes girl student
A school student living in Kamla Nagar was beaten up by her social media friend and her mobile phone was snatched and broken.
